Program Description Brad Tassell's award winning novel for teens and preteens Don't Feed the Bully is read in hundreds of schools and helps students learn empathy, move the bully target, and instill a love of reading. Now, we upgrade our thinking to the instructor level to bring inventive and common sense teacher tips to helping stop bullying and create a classroom and school that deals with problems head on, uses compassion and tolerance, and gets everybody onboard to bring about change.
Program Format Workshop length.
1. We start just like I start with students. Funny!
2. I do a magic trick to illustrate the importance of reading. We sing the little kids song. All in an effort to get everyone to understand how I can get students attention, and to relax the group. Plus, teach a great lesson about what is bullying and what is not bullying.
3. Create a real and useful definition of bullying.
4. introduce the book, Don't Feed the Bully and the steps that help students move the bully target.
60 minute program length
5. begin powerpoint on teacher tips, school tips, and protocol ideas to help create safe school, and get faculty on board with school safety.
6. Cyber Bullying ideas and answers.
7. Questions and answer.

Learn the lessons of the ten year Columbine study and how it can give clarity in fixing your own school problems.

open minds to the idea that in many schools students are scared even though educators and staff feel they have a safe environment.
