Preparing for the Citizenship OGT **FREE**

Preparing for the Citizenship OGT via a Videoconference From the Greene County Career Center in Xenia (If interested, please contact Kate Tiffany by February 20)
Description: Are you interested in providing for your Citizenship OGT students a game show-like atmosphere to help them prepare for the test? I am a Social Studies teacher from Greene County Career Center in Xenia, OH, and I would like to recruit teachers who are working with Citizenship OGT students and have access to videoconferencing equipment to participate in QUIZ BOWL OGT for Citizenship. Using the videoconferencing equipment students have the opportunity to: 1. Sharpen Citizenship OGT knowledge2. Communicate with peers from other schools who are "in the same OGT boat"3. Make the entire OGT prep experience fun and exciting by participating in a Quiz Bowl format I was planning to connect with schools on a weekly basis using the videoconferencing equipment. During this time students will have prepared questions for each of the "power" Standards taught (History A, B, C, D, E, F, Government A, B, etc.) The winning schools could also receive awards or certificates. If you are interested, please e-mail me by February 20. We'll only have a month to prepare at that point, so it's important that we get started as soon as possible.
