Program Description Cultural behaviors and attitudes generate conflict in the workplace, especially when dominant cultural expectations contrast with the values held by smaller cultural groups, such as Native Americans, welfare recipients, or racial minorities.

This course is written for adults with limited reading ability who eventually want to enter the workforce. It is written at the 4th-grade reading level, with audio clips matched to content so that even those with lower reading ability can learn. Topics include Types of Culture (Edward Hall), US Dominant Culture, and Traditional Native American Culture. Students complete content-related exercises and surveys as they improve their reading skills.
Program Format This course is offered on a CD, with interactive content. The last unit on NA culture can be substituted for content relating to cultures addressed by the purchaser.

Although they will be able to understand the content, students will need close monitoring and help completing assignments on their computers or offline, as determined by their instructor. The material is formatted in interactive PDF format, and, therefore, can be printed if desired.
