Teaching our students to be responsible global citizens who are good stewards of our planet is increasingly important in our world today. The youth of today have the power to affect change in our schools, our communities, and our world. Through interdisciplinary activities focused on real-world problems, we can actively engage students to make a difference.

This program will share educational resources that focus on climate change, environmentalism, ecology, etc. Project-based learning activities will be discussed, and technology projects in which students can participate will be shared. Making our schools "green" institutions, the importance of influencing our school and local communities, publishing of related content by students, global connections for collaborative activities--these topics and others will be discussed.

Students want to create content in meaningful ways and publish that content to a global audience. "Going green" provides authentic learning opportunities in which they can successfully do that!
