Program Description This presentation will provide an introduction and basic overview about Response to Intervention—how RtI “came to be” and the implications for policy-makers. This offering is appropriate for school board members and school administrators, including administrators of special education programs.
Objectives Participants in this program will:
1. Better understand how RtI can be a model for the improvement of learning for all students;
2. Better understand the key elements for the implementation of RtI; and
3. Better understand the role of the classroom teacher in implementing RtI.
• Uses learning strategies appropriate to the intended goal. (Design)
• Applies knowledge about human learning and change. (Learning)

Program Length 90-120 Minutes--Depending on the Extent of Questions/Comments/Interaction from Viewers.
