Solving Equations with Manipulatives: Hands On Equations
The purpose of this overview of Hands-on Equations will allow you to decide if you want to incorporate Hands-on Equations into your math curriculum. Teacher training is provided by the Muskingum Valley ESC. Hands-on Equations is a visual and kinesthetic teaching method that empowers teachers to successfully present algebraic concept to students in grades 3-8. The program provides students with an intuitive understanding of the most fundamental algebraic concepts. Many of the Ohio Academic Content Standards are covered in Hands-on Equations.
