Free - Free Informational Video Conference -Common Core Math Standards

Do you need a comprehensive overview of the “Common Core Math Standards” at each grade level?

math1.JPGThe Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center and Ky Leigh Davis, PhD have developed  a “Math Tool Kit” which contains mathematic resources at each grade level  (KDG-3).  This resource directly addresses the Common Core Standards at each grade level (K-3) via aFocus and a Flowchart.  Pretests pinpoint student understanding before instruction begins. Student Monitoring Charts allow a holistic view of the students’ proficiency and progression.Subtopic Scaffolding Staircases address the Flowchart items by chunking each standard for gradual attainment.  Unit Planning Models allow the teacher to chunk Flowchart items into units. And Lesson Plan Activities are directly linked to each topic in the Flowchart and aim to cement understanding of the standard via hands-on activities.

If you would like to see this resource and how it can be used for instruction, please join us for a FREE information video conference.  Dates and times are as follows:

Date 1 : Wednesday, October 12, 2011 (4:00pm EST – 4:45pm EST)

Technology Toolbox Series
When you attend a workshop or a conference, networking is often as highly valued as the content presented. Why should your communication end there?  Why should your networking be limited to the teachers that were able to attend? Creating a learning network that is designed around your interests is easier than you think. During this session teachers and administrators will learn how to build a learning network of educators and organizations from around the world.
