Program Description
The Growing Fluent Reader's program includes research-based, classroom strategies for positively influencing fluency development! The program includes many practical strategies and video clips of real kids using the strategies. Session Two includes how to assess reading fluency.
Program Format
This program includes a powerpoint presentation, direct modeling, and video clips of children. Supplementary materials for promoting fluency will be shown. Time for question and answers.
Objectives
The participant will:...learn how to positively impact reading fluency;...see classroom strategies modeled;...view students doing fluency strategies;...learn how to assess fluency; and...see valuable supplemental resources.

This session will inform and deepen educators' content knowledge and provide them with research-based instructional strategies to assist them in positively impacting student reading fluency skills.

Cancellation Policy
Learning Unlimited will not charge for workshops cancelled due to nature issues, such as snow days. The full fee will be assessed to sites who cancel less than 72 hours in advance.
