Join the NORT2H staff as we take a closer look at the Safari Video-on-Demand service to get the most out of your time and meet your students' needs. The Safari video server is much more than searching and playing. Teachers can easily create their own bookmarks and playlists. Together we will review the basics and show how custom playlists can be easier than you think! This program is available only to NORT2H members and it's FREE!

RTI: Response To Intervention
What does RTI look like in practice? What does RTI look like in your school? This session will provide a vision of what RTI might look like in practice and how educators can use this approach in schools. Using the three tiers of intervention, general education teachers and intervention specialist can use research-based strategies to effectively individualize instruction, monitor individual student progress and implement strategies to meet specific needs of students. This session emphasizes a problem solving approach in which data is an integral part in making decisions. Participants will examine a framework that will assist in effectively teaching all children.

Program Description
As educators, we know that some people learn more efficiently than others. It helps to apply the lessons that research has offered on motivation, intelligences, abilities and disabilities, learning styles, goal setting and more. What we know most of all, however, is that people learn when, how, how much, and what they want to learn. If a student’s experiences and related thoughts about learning are negative, instructors must first overcome those beliefs in order to engage the student. That is where The Work can help. Through The Work process, instructors and students can easily question their negative or stressful beliefs and open the door to learning.Based on Byron Katie's direct experience of how suffering is created and ended, The Work is an astonishingly simple process, accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds, and requires nothing more than a pen and paper and an open mind.Through the inquiry process, anyone can learn to trace stressful thoughts to their source and eliminate them there. Katie (as everyone calls her), through her own extraordinary experience, gives us the tool to open our minds and set ourselves free. The Work is a simple yet powerful process of inquiry that teaches you to identify and question thoughts that cause suffering. It's a way to understand what's hurting you, and to address your problems with clarity. People who do The Work as an ongoing practice report life-changing results. The Work is a process that clears the mind. It is a way to identify and question the thoughts that cause stress. The Work is simply four questions and a turnaround, which is a way of experiencing the opposite of what you believe. Anyone with an open mind can do it. This process is simple, radical, and can be life-changing.
