World Book Web:
High School and Middle School on October 15, 2008, 3:30 to 4:30. Information & Registration Form.
Elementary and Middle School on October 16, 3:30 to 4:30. Information & Registration Form. Explore our new World Book Web with us, emphasizing the World Book Advanced (designed for high school, college and graduate schools) and the new World Book Online Reference Center (designed for upper elementary, middle school and beginning students in high school). The presentation will highlight the 5,500 e-books available, the 279,000 primary source documents, the classroom research activities, and other features which make the World Book Web a perfect fit for school at all levels. See how you can use these materials to differentiate instruction and get ideas on ways to use this resource at your school or in your classroom. You will have time to ask questions about each database. Please promote these two sessions on the new World Book INFOhio Resources. It would be a good way to get teachers exposed to them so they will want to use them for student research and their great extra features. The sessions are free and are after-school on October 15 and October 16. CEU's are given. Get a group together and have fun learning about these new tools!
