Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
by
Cook Children's Medical Center

Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is common, affecting 4 - 12% of school-age children. Children who have ADHD are sometimes seen as being "difficult" or as having behavior problems. Join Mollie D. Kuchta, RN, BSN and Lisa Collier Farmer, RN, LMSW for his 1.5 hour program designed to give school nurses a detailed understanding of the signs and symptoms of ADHD and correlate those signs and symptoms with behavior. It will also identify treatments and interventions that can be used at school and at home to help behavior and resources available for school nurses and parents.

Cook Children’s Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This activity provided 1.5 contact hours. You must attend the activity in its entirety and complete and return the evaluation tool.
